01The short version
Simple NYC LLC ("Simple NYC", "we") runs the website at simple-nyc.com and two restaurants in New York City. This page describes what personal information we collect on our website, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
We do not sell your data. We don't run third-party advertising. We don't use cross-site tracking. We use one analytics tool (Plausible) that does not track individuals. Newsletter signups go to one provider (Formspree) and stay there.
02What we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the website and reply to messages.
Information you give us directly
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- Contact form: your name, email, the subject you picked, the shop you selected (optional), and whatever you wrote in the message field.
- Phone calls: if you call the shop, the call may be logged on our phone bill. We don't record calls.
Information we collect automatically
- Analytics: our analytics tool (Plausible) records the page you viewed, your country, your referrer, and the device type — all anonymized and aggregated. No cookies, no individual tracking.
- Server logs: our hosting provider keeps short-term access logs for security purposes.
03Why we collect it
Three reasons:
- To respond to you. If you write to us, we need to read it and reply.
- To send the newsletter. A short monthly letter. Unsubscribe link in every email.
- To understand the website. Aggregate analytics tell us what pages people read so we can write better ones.
We do not use your data to train AI models, build profiles, or target advertising.
04Who else sees it
The fewest people possible.
Vendors we use
- Formspree — handles the contact form and newsletter signup. They receive what you submit and pass it to our email inbox.
- Plausible Analytics — receives anonymized page-view data. No personal information.
- Our hosting provider — stores the website files and serves them. Sees only the IPs and HTTP requests required to deliver pages.
That's it. We do not share any data with advertisers, data brokers, or social platforms.
Legal exceptions
We will share data if compelled by a court order or law enforcement request that we are legally required to comply with. We will let you know if this happens unless legally prohibited.
05Your rights
You can do any of the following at any time:
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you.
- Object to anything in this policy or how we handle your information.
